Belfast : Nazdrovje on tour
At the end of November I spent a short weekend with my year of Augustinus in Belfast. It’s quite depressing as the Protestant vs. Catholic factions are still very much present in quite large areas of the city. We took a ‘black cab’-tour along the murals, which are gigantic paintings on the side of houses of either faction (but it’s mostly a Catholic-thing). Fanatics express their views on the walls. We also visited the Giant’s Causeway and a whiskey distillery. Beautiful scenery - although a tad sad.
Going out was lots of fun. Britons don’t dance but drink loads.

A mural.

Warnings on sigarette packs get more explicit: “Smoking can cause a slow and painful death”.
