Rogier’s Road to Recovery

Just before I left for Istanbul, Faust (my fraternity) organised a shooting event. I joined in, of course. I thought this would mean that we were about ‘just’ to shoot some bullets, like on a fair or so, but I was mistaken and ill-prepared. We all fired 6 or 3 times each with all of the following six weapons, among with 4 revolvers, 2 pistols and a riot gun (shot gun)!

Firing a real weapon is quite a crazy experience. The force on your hands/arm is pretty strong when you fire a bullet with one of the bigger guns. The big ‘bang’ sound is really loud and really intimidating. That must scare the local population when armed conflict is near them.
